Our heart pumps blood in arteries to veins and veins again pumps back through valves to arteries. When small valve gets damaged and does not pump back, there form the varicose veins. Massage your legs:
Gentle massage on the legs will help to flow the blood circulation in the legs. It makes the twisted, enlarged and bulging veins straight and helps for easy blood flow
- Coconut oil or olive oil: few drops
- Essential oil: few drops
How to apply?
- Take few drops of coconut or olive oil
- Mix it with essential oil
- Gently massage on the legs in the upward strokes
- Do not directly massage on the affected area
- By massaging, on legs, it improves the blood circulation and removes the varicose veins
Wearing the fitted compression stockings, will help to a larger extent. The pressure builds up on the veins, pushes the blood to flow back to the heart, decreases the enlargement and gains back the elasticity in blood vessels.
Seek doctors advice, for stockings, as to how to wear and when to wear. It removes the blood clot and reduces the stagnation of blood in veins.
Apple cider vinegar :

Note : Cypress oil may sometimes result in swelling or muscle aches. If it is diluted with essential oil, then the result will be seen.
The capsicin present in cayenne contains, blood thinning, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, which removes the blood clots, increases blood flow in the body. The vitamin C and flavonoids present protect the walls of blood vessels, increases collagen production and also makes them elastic.
- Cayenne powder: 1 tsp
- Warm water: 1 glass
How to take?
- Take 1 glass of warm water
- Add 1 tsp of cayenne powder and stir well
- Now drink
Do this for 1-2 months twice a day.
Witch hazel :
It contains Gallic acid and essential oils which reduces the itching, swollen and enlarged veins. It also contains anti-inflammatory properties, which regains elasticity in the blood vessels.

How to apply?
- Take warm water in tub
- Pour 10-20 drops in water
- Clean your legs and soak your legs for 15 min
- Again wash your legs and pat dry
- Take a cloth and soak in the water
- Squeeze the extra water
- Wrap the cloth on the affected area for 15 min
Butcher’s broom :
Butcher’s broom is the one, which is used for treatment of varicose veins. It constricts blood vessels from constricts, removes swelling, increases blood circulation and itching. This is a herb which contains herb called Ruscogenin(RUS), reduces inflammation, while constricting blood from veins and pooling
How to apply?
- Take 100 mg of butcher’s broom capsules extracted from the seeds and plants daily for 3 times
- These are available at any generic stores
