Lemon Water With Turmeric – A Perfect Health Drink


Summer mornings with lemon water splash. Wow what a taste. Lemon water is not only taken during summers but round the year, 365 days. It is the perfect detoxifier drink, which detoxes our body, loses weight and tastes great.

Drinking lemon water is normal but adding to it pinch of turmeric gives extraordinary health benefits and tastes super.(Read: Detox Drinks)

Lemon is a citrus fruit, which contains anti-oxidants, anti-inflammation properties, anti-cancer and many more properties. It maintains our body PH level. It rejuvenates skin cells from inside and thus prevents wrinkles and aging. Reduces stress, increases immune system, cleanses kidney and gall bladder, helps in frequent urination.  

Turmeric is a root which belongs to ginger family. The ancient old spice mostly found in asia contains curcumin which is again an anti-inflammation and anti-oxidant properties, which is a powerful spice used from ancient days. Turmeric contains anti-microbial and anti-viral properties, which helps to fight infections, allergies, fever, cold, etc.,  the curcumin in turmeric helps to fight free radicals, which kills cancer cells. How to prepare lemon with turmeric

Prep : 1

Ingredients :

  • Lemon juice : 4 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder : pinch of
  • Cinnamon powder : pinch of

Prep time : 5 mins

Process :

  • Take a glass of water.
  • Add pinch of turmeric, ½ lemon juice, pinch of cinnamon powder.
  • Stir well so that turmeric does not gets settled in the bottom of the glass
  • And drink it daily on empty stomach

Note : with this drink take a fruit like apple, banana or any other fruit.

Prep : 2

Ingredients :

  • Lemon slice
  • Turmeric powder : pinch of
  • Ginger : small piece
  • Honey : 2 tsp

Prep time : 10 mins

Process :

  • Take a cup of water and boil it
  • To it add slice of lemon and ginger
  • Boil it for 10 mins and leave it
  • Let it get warm and add pinch of turmeric
  • Add honey for taste

Prep 3 :

lemon with turmeric tea.

Ingredients :

Prep time : 10 mins

Process :

  • Take ½ cup milk.
  • Boil it and add turmeric, honey and lemon juice.
  • Boil it in low flame.
  • Drink while it is warm.

Note : This must be taken thrice a week.

This is the oldest  detox drink, which is used from ancient days. By taking it regularly or thrice a week will show better results.
