A beautiful and neat face is everyone’s dream, be it a boy or girl. Our skin or face undergoes different facial problems like pimples, tan, wrinkles, dark spots. Pimples come and go but leave out dark spots if not removed properly.
- Dark spots is also called as hyperpigmentation
- It starts from the age of teen to the middle age
- When a pimple is popped, or we try to squeeze it, dark spots are formed
- The excess secretion of melanin in the skin also leads to dark spots.
- Excess exposure to sun rays or hormonal imbalance
- It could be from light brown to thick black in color
Home remedies for dark spots:
1.Tomato with lemon juice:
Tomato contains vitamin A, B, and c which improves production of collagen, maintains elasticity of skin, reduces dark spots. Tomato contains lycopene, calcium, magnesium, potassium which keeps skin healthy and moisturized
Ingredients:
- Tomato: 1
- Lemon juice: 2 tsp
How to apply?
- Take a tomato
- Make the juice of it
- Now add lemon juice mix it
- Apply with a cotton ball on the face
- Leave it for ½ an hr and wash off with lukewarm water
And
2.Tomato with sugar:
Sugar exfoliates and removes the dead skin cells and thus removes the dark spots
Ingredients:
- Tomato: 1
- Sugar: as per required
How to apply?
- Take a tomato and slice it
- Now dip the slice in the sugar
- Rub and scrub on the face
- Leave it for 30 min
- Wash off lukewarm water

3.Vitamin E Oil:
Vitamin E oil is the powerful antioxidant, which removes dead skin cells, exfoliates skin and wipes off dark spots.
Ingredients :
- Vitamin E capsule: 1
How to apply?
- Take a vitamin E oil capsule
- Pierce it and apply on the affected areas
- Gently rub on the areas and leave it for 1 hr and wash off
- Do this twice a week for better results
4.Papaya :
Papaya contains papain, vitamin E and C, which is an expert in removing dark spots, generates new skin cells. It stops the production of tyrosinase, which is responsible for overproduction of melanin.
How to apply?
- Peel off papaya and remove seeds as well
- Mash it and apply it on the face
- Gently massage and leave it for 1 hr
- Do this once a week for better results
5.Red onion and honey:
Onions are not only good for hair, but also for skin too. Onion contains antioxidants vitamin A, C, E, which fights with skin free radicals and gives skin new emerging cells.
Ingredients:
- Onion: 1
- Honey: 2 tsp
How to apply?
- Take an onion
- Make the juice of it
- Now add honey it and mix it well
- With the help of the cotton ball apply it all over the skin
- Leave it for 1 hr
- Wash off
6.Sandalwood, milk, and glycerine:
Sandalwood is the anti-inflammatory agents which contain beta santalol, santyl acetate, and staleness which removes dark spots, wrinkles, and pimples easily. Sandalwood contains bleaching properties, while glycerine softens the skin
Ingredients:
- Sandalwood powder: 5 tbsp
- Milk: 3 tbsp
- Glycerine: 2 tsp
How to apply?
- Take all ingredients in the bowl
- Mix them properly and apply with a facial brush
- See to it the mixture is applied evenly on the face
- Leave it for 30 min and wash off
7.Turmeric, milk and lemon juice :
Turmeric contains curcumin, which are antioxidant agents, which removes skin free radicals and removes dark spots.
Ingredients:
- Turmeric: ½ tsp
- Milk: 1 tsp
- Lemon juice: ½ tsp
How to apply?
- Mix the paste well
- Apply it on the face
- Leave it for ½ an hr and wash off with lukewarm water
- This shall be done thrice a week

8.Potato:
Potato contains vitamin B6, C, zinc, phosphorous, iron, which removes dark spots improves collagen production.
Ingredient:
- Potato slice: 1

- Potato juice: ¼ cup
How to apply?
- Take a potato slice and rub it on the face
Or
- Take a ½ potato and make the juice of it
- Take a cotton ball and rub it on the skin
- Leave it for 30 min and wash off
